Hello from Cyprus Taste Tours! We're a friendly team of locals all with Cypriot heritage. A group of true foodies, our activities focus on discovering Cyprus through food & wine... There's nothing like tasting fresh, warm halloumi straight out of the pot and on this small group tour there'll be plenty to enjoy throughout the day! You'll be picked up from a Limassol location of your choice and driven into the Troodos mountain countryside to the cheese-making workshop of a village local. You’ll take part in the process from start to finish and the experience will end with a delicious brunch which will include the cheeses made plus lots more. The activities don't end there as you'll be taken further into the mountain villages to visit other local producers and the quaint village of Lefkara or Omodos (village visited will depend on our route on your specific tour date). A day full of fun & flavour is guaranteed! Unlike other tours - EVERYTHING IS INCLUDED / NO HIDDEN COSTS!

A fantastic way to explore with a local! A guide from our team will pick you up from a Limassol location of your choice and you’ll be driven into the Troodos mountain countryside to the cheese-making workshop of a village local to learn the traditional technique of halloumi and anari cheese making. You’ll take part in the process from start to finish while spending time with true locals. This hands-on workshop ends with a traditional sit-down experience where you'll enjoy a delicious brunch which will include the cheeses made plus lots more. We’ll then continue our journey into the scenic mountain villages to visit 3 further foodie locations** (e.g. honey / traditional sweets / donkey milk products / chocolates / olive oil / wine / etc.). Part of our touring will be a visit to a traditional village* where you’ll have time to shop & explore. Any applicable entrance fees, tasting fees, door-to-door transport, traditional brunch, coffee & drinks are all included in the tour price. PLEASE NOTE THAT WE WORK WITH MANY HALLOUMI PRODUCERS & THE STATED ITINERARY IS AN EXAMPLE ROUTE THAT WE OFFER. THE ACTUAL ACTIVITY MAY TAKE PLACE IN A DIFFERENT VILLAGE / AREA.

We offer door-to-door transport from almost any Limassol location including hotels, airbnbs, private accommodation, landmarks etc. We can also offer pick-up or drop-off at the airport if this makes your participation more convenient. If you do not see your pickup location on the list at the time of booking - please go ahead with your booking and in the unlikely case that we cannot fulfil the pick-up - a full refund will be processed. WE DO NOT ACCEPT CRUISE SHIP PASSENGER BOOKINGS THROUGH VIATOR / TRIPADVISOR - PLEASE CONTACT US DIRECTLY. PLEASE NOTE: We offer bespoke journeys into the Troodos mountain range and therefore the itineraries stated are subject to change with the season and the locals available to host us. The timings are a guideline and if you must be back at your accommodation at a certain time - YOU MUST LET US KNOW IN ADVANCE. PLEASE NOTE: The Troodos mountain range spans Larnaca, Limassol, Paphos and Nicosia and it is in the mountainous areas of these districts that you find the rural villages of Cyprus. This tour DOES NOT visit Troodos Square and will only visit various villages within the Troodos mountain region. We keep our tours authentic by visiting true locals and because these local villagers are busy with every day life – we cannot guarantee which stops we’ll be visiting after the cheese-making workshop... However, here’s an example list of products - honey / traditional sweets / wine / donkey milk products / carob honey.

The most delicious experience!

Such a fun experience! The halloumi making workshop was a lot of fun, and the brunch spread was VERY delicious! Getting to see the sheep and goats was also great. We had 4 other stops that day and all were really good, especially the donkeys and the olive tasting. Demi was a great tour guide as well! I will definitely recommend this tour to anyone visiting Cyprus!

Becoming a certified halloumi cheese maker

The Halloumi Heaven tour was an absolute blast! The day started off making halloumi cheese which straight after was served for brunch. We even got halloumi cheese making certificates. The visit of a local bee farm, Lefkara and an olive farm made the day adventurous and exciting! The guide was so kind and charismastic. Couldn’t have booked a better tour. This tour is a must when coming to Cyprus.

Worth to come back

A great experience in a fantastic area with so many nice stops. The tour brought us to beautiful places. Seeing and experiencing the Halloumi production first hand was a wonderful experience. Coupled with a ice wine tasting, a visit to an olive farm, the village of Lefkara and finally the donkey farm rounded up a memorable day.

Excellent taster day of Cyprus

Panikos was an excellent host- very knowledgeable and easy to listen to! We went to some fantastic places and activities including making our own halloumi, wine tasting and chocolate tasting, as well as a stop off in Omodos which was very picturesque. We really especially enjoyed eating the halloumi we had made earlier that day and the chocolatier who talked us through the process of crafting his artisan chocolate, with tasting examples! Would highly recommend this experience!
