From April to October our morning tours will leave Carcassonne between 0830 and 0900 and returning to Carcassonne around 1230 for lunch and wine tasting and talk at the shop to 1430 Guests are chauffeured privately in a luxury air-conditioned Volvo XC90 4x4 by your expert guide. In the morning guests will visit two different wineries and have the opportunity to taste and discover up to 8 different wines from some of the most important and notable producers in the region. Your guide will provide a full initiation into the history of the wines of the region, the terroir, an introduction to the art of wine making and how to taste and appreciate wines. On returning to Carcassonne a lunch of charcuterie, cheeses and bread along with four local wines is offered. During the tour you will learn about the history of the region as you visit the vineyards and cellars and meet the some of the people behind the wines. During the tour you will learn how to taste and describe wines and to recognise some of the key grape varieties.
