Go beyond the vineyards and discover another side of Napa’s agricultural heritage. Join a guided e-bike tour visiting two family farms where you’ll learn about the craftsmanship behind lavender and olive oil production.

You’ll average 3 to 6 miles of biking between stops, covering a total of 12-17 miles. The route will be mostly flat to gently rolling. And don’t forget: you’ll have three levels of E-Bike pedal-assist at your fingertips!

Ride at a relaxed pace to two family-owned farms where you’ll learn about lavender and olive oil production and enjoy a picnic lunch.

Electric bikes make this tour fun for anyone who can ride a bike. Casual bikers will find they can confidently ride longer distances and cruise up hills with no problem. And experienced riders who are hoping for more exercise can turn the pedal-assist level down or completely off to get more of a workout.

Note that lavender bloom is seasonal, typically from late-May to early-July. Outside of bloom season, you'll still enjoy a wonderful experience exploring the farm and learning about lavender production.

At Charsaw Farms, you'll be invited behind the scenes to see how lavender is transformed into essential oil, try your hand at the de-budding machine, and visit the farm shop to learn about the drying process and handcrafted products. You'll learn about the 23 lavender varieties grown on 3.5-acre farm and how to identify different types, and discover how lavender is used in culinary, fragrance, and wellness products. Create your own lavender sachet to take home, then enjoy a picnic on property featuring a signature lavender jam cookie and refreshing lavender lemonade.

At Olive Hill Estates (owned by Bouchaine Vineyards), you'll stroll among Italian olive trees as your host shares the story of the grove, sustainable farming practices, and the five varietals that create their signature field blend. Learn about the harvest and cold-pressing process that preserves the character of each olive, from hand-picking at peak ripeness to pressing just minutes away from the orchard. Your visit concludes with a guided tasting of Olive Hill Estates’ exceptional olive oils, where you’ll discover the nuances of this Napa Valley-grown treasure.
