"Megibung", a Unique Balinese Dining Experience in Canggu

Upon arrival, you will be provided with traditional Balinese attire to enhance your cultural experience. Each guest will wear an “udeng,” a decorative Balinese headpiece, and a “selendang,” a vibrant sash. After donning the traditional attire, you will be seated for a Balinese megibung dinner. “Megibung” is a communal dining tradition where a variety of Balinese dishes are served on large platters for sharing; encouraging interaction and a communal atmosphere. Unique Dining Style: you will have the option to eat in the traditional manner—using your hands or using traditional utensils. This allows you to engage more deeply with the food and the cultural practices of the meal. Enjoy a selection of traditional Balinese dishes, each prepared with authentic flavors and fresh ingredients. The variety of dishes offers a true taste of Balinese culinary traditions.. Our staff will interact with you at several points during your dinner to tell you the back stories on the tradition, the cooking techniques being used and the ingredients of the food, to further enrich the experience.
