Your journey begins in Nemea, the legendary land of Hercules. Here, you will visit two esteemed wineries to taste the region's famous Agiorgitiko (St. George) variety—a deep, velvety red wine—and learn about local viticulture (tasting fees at own expense).

Nemea is the largest Protected Designation of Origin (PDO) for red wines in Greece and is the ancestral home of the noble Agiorgitiko grape, often referred to as the "Blood of Hercules." As you drive through the scenic landscape, you'll be greeted by seemingly endless vineyards stretching across rolling hills – a truly picturesque setting. Beyond its ancient myths and archaeological sites, modern Nemea is a vibrant center of winemaking, boasting numerous esteemed wineries.
