At a charming family-run dairy, you will meet the farmers who will take a break from cultivating their garden and raising their animals with care, to show you how to prepare a signature Greek recipe, using fresh ingredients from their farm. Get some hands-on local experience as your hosts guide you through the making of the iconic summer dish called “gemista”. While waiting for your meal to cook, your hosts will share the secrets of local cheesemaking methods, teaching you how to make an age-old cheese recipe, called “arseniko”. The experience concludes with a relaxed feast, savoring the authentic tastes of Naxos and enjoying the warmth of local hospitality.

I must do experience while visiting Naxos

My three children and I visited this place with the help of my travel agency, Unforgettable Travel. The experience was absolutely marvelous. From the moment they picked us up in a comfortable van at our hotel to the time they returned us, we created unforgettable family memories that will last a lifetime. Delicious and Fun

We thoroughly enjoyed our 1/2 day experience on the family farm. Alexia was a terrific guide with a lot of knowledge, information, and enthusiasm. The host's cooking lesson was informative and fun with no pressure. The meal that we made was delicious! The children of the family were adorable and were very proud to show us their farm animals. Our driver was very personable and even played the guitar while we ate lunch.

Excellent way to spend the day!!

What an amazing day! This tour was far and away a highlight of our entire trip! It was THE most authentic experience we had. We feel so lucky to have found Philema Food Tours. We were a group of 9 adults, 30s-70s, and everyone said it was the best way we spent our day. Highly, highly recommend for seeing all of the highlights of Naxos!!
