From the tree to the bottle, you will find out everything about extra virgin olive oil. How are the olives harvested? How is the olive oil produced? What is the difference between First Cold Pressed and Cold Extraction? What should an extra virgin olive oil taste like? Discover our naturally flavoured oils with fruits and herbs from our Estate.

Koronekes Olive Mill

We will start the visit in our courtyard, surrounded by olive trees, where we will tell you about organic olive tree farming. Then, we will enter the olive mill where we will explain the First Cold Pressed method of producing extra virgin olive oil showing each and every machine. We will also tell you about the other, modern method of Cold Extraction which uses a centrifuge. Finally, we will taste our 3 qualities of extra virgin olive oil, 2 flavoured oils, a sweet vinegar and petimezi, a delicious grape syrup.

Much more than an olive oil tasting

We had a wonderful experience at Koronekes, in a truly evocative location, immersed in nature and Cretan olive trees. It is not simply a tasting: the tour allows you to learn about and understand the different phases of oil production, from the cultivation of the olive trees to the final product. A delicious, great tour.

One can only agree with the other great reviews. The tour with Giorgos was so nice that one can really only recommend it to everyone. We were able to perfectly combine the tour with a visit to the Palace of Knossos. It was very informative and the samples were truly delicious. Anyone who cannot make it here in person should definitely check it out online and order some of the delicious olive oil to be delivered home.

A real favorite in Crete ❤️

An excellent tasting in French with Kiara, who took the time to passionately explain the entire olive oil production process to us, from harvest to bottling. A really worthwhile visi

We spent an excellent couple of hours in the expert hands of Elena who, although originally from Tuscany, has a wide range of knowledge of this Greek olive grove and its surroundings which she shared with passion and tremendous enthusiasm.
