Paris cooking class extraordinary!

The experience was excellent. The chef/teacher was fantastic. He not only taught us great methods but also a treasure of food history dating back to the Middle Ages all the way to the present. He was excited with all our questions. To top everything, the food we helped prepare was delicious. Our chef, Paolo, was magnificent. Our fellow classmates, from all over the world made the evening special.

Unique and special

This was our second class with Le Foodist and both were amazing. Chef Paulo met our group at the market where he thoroughly explained the food and quality of ingredients. The experience was amazing, the food was incredible, Chef Paulo was charming and knowledgeable, and the families we shared the experience with were the icing on the cake. Thank you for creating an experience where you learn to cook, learn to appreciate the quality of pure and simple food items, and to share it with strangers...read more

Wonderful experience- not to be missed

We had the best time with Fred, he was knowledgeable and encouraging. We got to shop for, then cook an excellent meal having so much fun with the group we were with, this event has been well thought out and truly gives a wonderful tour of the Latin quarter as well as a glimpse of French cooking. The recipes were also sent to us. I would highly recommend this experience.

Wonderful experience

We had a wonderful experience at our cooking class with Paulo, including the market visit. Paulo explained a lot about how to purchase fish at the Fish market as well as how to purchase cheese. The location of the class was intimate and beautiful, and the hands-on instruction was fantastic.

A wonderful, fun and enjoyable evening.

We met Paulo and several other couples at one of the local markets in town. Paulo arrived right on time and greeted everyone in the group. He started off by explaining the schedule for the evening and then made sure everyone was satisfied with the menu options. He did make accommodations for a few people who preferred a difference main dish. From there, we entered the market and literally got an entire history lesson about the market place and how to tell where most of the products came from. It...read more

Bonjour, and thank you for your wonderful review of your Evening Market Visit Cooking Class in Paris at Le Foodist with your Chef Paulo. I am delighted you enjoyed it all from the very start. Helping people understand where everything comes from is exactly what we strive for, and I am glad you enjoyed learning about this in the context of seafood, dairy and livestock that evening. And I am glad the social nature of our class worked so well for you. And while prepping, cooking and plating together, taking turns at each station, is the heart of the evening, I am equally happy you enjoyed meeting the other couples and working side by side. We too believe that cooking and eating are best lived as shared experiences. This is very much the French way, and an immediate taste of French culture. And I am glad of course you enjoyed all aspects of Paulo's personality — fabulous and phenomenal from beginning to end indeed. Last but not least, thank you for the high recommendation of our cooking and baking classes. Merci beaucoup! Fred
