Wow! Just wow! Incredible place. I cannot recommend to your enough via high speed train- yes the train station is daunting but well worth it in comparison to being on a coach.

The bullet train from Rome to Napoli was only a little over 1 hour. Pompeii and Vesuvius is spectacular. Trip Advisor did an excellent job with all our bookings. Thank you. :)

We took high speed train from Rome to Naples for the day trip. Pompeii was amazing! We than went to Mt Vecevius which was great. 25 min hike to the crater. Not bad at all. I will say there are NO toilets at Mt Vecevius so better do your business before arriving there. Our driver Fernando and Guide Greta were both great. Made the trip a fun one!

You're right, sometimes the operators of the travel industry forget to mentions that in places like the Vesuvius there are no toilets or, also, in Pompeii ruins you can't find a bottle of water or a fountain in the streets :-))) Well, even with these little surprises it seems that both places are really worth a visit... Excellent tour! Our guide was very knowledgeable. Views from the top of the summit were beautiful. Pizza lunch was nice, but I would have opted for the wine tasting lunch had I known.

Walking on the summit of an active volcano and then among the ruins of an ancient city destroyed by that same volcano is for sure an experience impossible to describe with words. To top this all, the high-speed train provided from/to Rome add some fun to the whole experience, don't you think? Thank you!
