Learn to cook traditional Portuguese dishes with a professional chef. Maria was always fond of cooking and baking delicious sweets with her mother. She has had a lifelong love of cooking, which inspired her to follow her passion for cooking in Scotland. Having worked as a food and wine tour guide for years, Maria enjoys loves creating memorable experiences for her travelers – sharing tips, recipes, cultural and historical information about Portugal, and even offering cooking classes in her own kitchen!

What You’ll Experience

You will visit Maria's small apartment in Porto where you will learn to cook a traditional, home-cooked Portuguese meal. Maria will be teaching you to cook dishes she learned from her mother and aunt. In your 1.5-hour cooking class learn to make two dishes from your menu. You will learn to make these dishes from scratch. After you cook, join Maria at the dining table to share the dishes you helped prepare.
