Such a lovely day in the Douro Valley! We did the tour with lunch, wine tasting, a boat cruise and a train ride, and it was a wonderful way to experience the area. The scenery was beautiful, and seeing the vineyards from both the river and the train was a real highlight. I really enjoyed taking time over lunch and trying the local wines. Looking back, what I loved most was the mix of experiences—it felt like we got to enjoy so much of the Douro in one day. So glad we booked this, and I’d happily...read more

We had an amazing day in the Douro Valley and Daniel was a huge part of what made it so special. He was friendly, relaxed, knowledgeable and made everything feel very easy and natural. It never felt like we were just being taken around on a tour. By the end of the day, it honestly felt like we had spent the day with a friend. The Douro itself was beautiful, the food and wine were great, and the whole experience was easily the best day we had in Portugal. Would 100% recommend Daniel to anyone ...read more
The tour was marvellous. The guide Daniel Teixeira was outstanding. Cruise on Douro with swimming. Small excellent winery. Family restaurant. And other sights on the way.

This private tour was the highlight of our trip to Portugal. Daniel created a truly personal experience and made us feel welcomed from start to finish. One of the most memorable moments was swimming in the Douro River during the boat trip, surrounded by the stunning landscape. We also loved visiting a genuine family-owned winery where we were guided by the family themselves. Learning about their traditional, artisanal winemaking methods and tasting their wines was a unique experience that felt ...read more

This was a wonderful tour! Our guide Daniel picked us up at our hotel and spent the entire day with us. On the way to the Douro Valley, we stopped in Alicante, a quaint little town with a beautiful cathedral and coffee shop that gave us a respite for a bit. Once in the Douro Valley, we took a lovely cruise on the river, enjoyed a local fare lunch in a local restaurant, and then drove high in the mountins to sample local wines, and enjoyed the company of the wineries' owner. The entire day, Dani...read more
