Must try this you consider yourself a foodie
We have just come back from a fantastic tasting tour of Mercado Testaccio. Our guide, Silvia, has an art history degree at the university in the area. She’s super friendly and very knowledgeable — not just about the history and the ingredients but also the people (like Sergio, the innovative panini guy) and the culture behind this culinary treasure in Roman landscape. We finished at a local pastiscceria for pastries and hor chocolate.

Local food tour- not to be missed!
Our guide Silv was excellent! It was such an authentic experience guided by a local! Silv took us to a wonderful neighborhood bakery and had us sample her favorites including pizza as we sat on a park bench watching the local children play. We then sampled some wonderful sandwiches for lunch made with the best bread I have ever had! Great Tour for the Money
Great tour to become familiar with the Testaccio area. Our tour guide was Marti he was very knowledgeable and answered a lot of questions. The food we tried was amazing, expciallt the Jewish artichokes. RECOMMEND A+
