With over more than 125 years of history, Fábrica Mel-de-Cana Ribeiro Sêco is a reference in the production of sugarcane syrup, a product that crosses its identity with Madeira Island’s own identity.
Between peak periods and others of less production, sugarcane syrup has never stopped being produced and at the Madeira inhabitants table, especially for Carnival and Christmas. Fábrica Mel-de-Cana Ribeiro Sêco is a factory that protects sugarcane culture as a timeless patrimony of Madeira.
We Partnered with Ribeiro Sêco Company to bring you to this amazing factory and know all about how they produce the syrup honey cake but also, liquors and the sugarcane biscuits.
You will have an offer to taste, liquors, the syrup honey cake, and the biscuits, all made from the sugarcane.
After the Guide tour in the Factory, we will go to a Fortress to see the beautiful view of Funchal.
