Rioja Wine Route with winery owner

This was an amazing excursion into La Rioja wine country. With the winery owner Jose, we received education on the terrain, grape varieties, wine making process and politics. We toured 4 wineries with tastings between Logrono and Haro. We had an exclusive dining experience, 5 course meal with paired wine. Meal served inside a portion of preserved wine (foot press) vat. Jose was awesome. He was very passionate and knowledgeable about wine and more than willing to educate us about the history of winemaking in Spain. The homemade meal Yosume and Jose provided was incredible. Highly recommend.

Incredible and unique experience! Jose was a really excellent guide - he explained the nuances of wine in the Rioja region. His family was also incredibly hospitable and kind. We 10/10 recommend!

This is a must do. Jose’s passion for the wine making industry makes this tour incredibly fun and interesting. The 5 course lunch at his own refurbished winery and cellar tops off the day. This tour is well worth the money

Jose is passionate about wine in Spain and his tour is informative and fun. We stopped at 3 wineries for tastings but the last stop at his refurbished small winery is amazing. Jose and his wife have lovingly restored a very old small family wine press and wine cellar and welcome you into it with open arms. His wine is very good, the 5 course lunch is tasty. This tour is a must do and worth every dollar we spent.
