Experience Details

We will pick up travelers from Taipei city, and drive down to Daxi, Taoyuan, where is well-known for a popular ingredient in Taiwanese cuisine-Tofu. Recently, it is selected as a Top 10 Small Tourist Town for a good slow travel destination.

In this activity, you will experience making your own tofu and build your very own wooden tofu mold at DIY workshops with Daxi locals. Prepare to discover the many ways to prepare and eat tofu over a gourmet lunch. After lunch, we will take you to visit an organic Daxi farm and learn about the community's local agriculture.

Tour requires a minimum of 4 guests. We will do our best to accommodate individual travelers by placing them on tours with other guests. In the event an individual traveler cannot be so accommodated, guests will be offered an alternative tour of equal value or full refund.
In the event of inclement weather or other unforeseen circumstances, MyTaiwanTour reserves the right to alter tour itinerary.

There will be a 100% charge for no-shows that is defined as arriving 15 minutes late.

What You’ll Experience

Escape the city life and explore Taiwan's tofu capital in the old town of Daxi! On this slow travel tour, you will start from a tour of Daxi's organic agricultural culture and bring some fresh vegetables with you. After lunch, you will meet the town's master woodworkers and experience a rare hands-on opportunity to make your very own tofu mold in a DIY woodshop class. Afterward, make your own tofu with Daxi locals and take a leisure walk along Daxi old street to learn the stories of how this beautiful old town was developed with our tour guide before heading back to the city.
