Introduce yourself to the art of cheese-making in a delightful 75-minute session led by a local shepherd. This interactive experience allows you to milk and feed goats, creating two traditional cheeses—malaka and mizithra. While waiting for the mizithra to set, indulge in a tasting of Gruyère and Anthotyros, uncovering the rich history and myths surrounding Cretan cheese. Conclude your journey with the freshly made cheese paired with local meze and raki, making for a truly authentic Cretan culinary adventure.

Three Varieties Of Cretan Authentic Cheese Tasting

Meals

The tasting includes only the cheese produced by Shepard on spot, and it is not a full meal just a sample of three Cretan Cheeses

This is a hands-on cheese-making experience. With the guidance of our local shepherd, you will have the chance to milk and feed the goats, help produce two types of cheese (malaka and mizithra), and learn the secrets of cheese-making in Crete. As you wait for mizithra to be ready -it takes about 20 minutes- we will invite you to a cheese tasting featuring two other famous Cretan cheeses: Gruyère and Anthotyros. At the end, you will taste the freshly made cheese you helped produce, accompanied by our homemade meze and raki!

Activité authentique!

Personnel très accueillant, sympathique et compréhensif (nous sommes arrivés en retard à cause de travaux). Une personne nous accueille et nous guide pour nous parquer.
