Ciao, I’m Alessandro, the owner of Siena Tartufi. I’m a truffle hunter from 25 years. I have 3 dogs, Moka and Freddie a Lagotto Romagnolo and Pepita, a black Labrador. I really love going outside with my dogs looking for truffles . In every season there are different types of truffle that will be collected and you can do it with us... My hobby is my job and my passion!

We will go with my dog and my assistent in search of truffles. when they start digging we will get closer and I will teach you how to extract a truffle from the ground. We will walk and answer all your questions for about an hour and 20 minutes. After the tour we will meet at my shop to taste the truffle products.

Truffle Hunting… do it!!

Five stars: a magical morning with Massimo and Yama! Our truffle hunting experience while staying in Siena was a wonderful, one-of-a-kind outing. As dog lovers, we were especially taken with Yama, Massimo's German short-haired pointer. Massimo clearly shares an amazing bond with him. Best Italian side trip.

Alessandro and truffle dog Freddy were the best hosts. This was our best Italy event this trip. Walking through beautiful forest the fun and thrill of finding truffles was the greatest fun

We had a great experience...

We had a great experience hunting truffle with Alessandro and his truffle dog Mocha. Mocha is super cute and I couldn’t stop petting her. Honestly truffle doesn’t matter - forget about truffle. I just wanted pet mocha hahaha. Alessandro is very knowledgeable about truffle. He explained everything to us, from where truffle grow, how to find them to how to train dogs for truffle hunting.
