Location
The mountains are no obstacle for hunters of the best bowl of pork bone-based noodles in the region.
Restaurant Details
Despite its distance from central Kyoto and the short opening hours, Ore no Ramen Appareya is still one of the most lauded ramen shops in the whole city. The store's name translates as "my ramen is awesome," and it’s true; rain or shine, there will always be at least 25 people in line before they even open.
The early birds are there for a very good reason, though. Only limited to 20 portions a day, Ore no Ramen Appareya's signature salty pork bone broth-based soup in the form of tsukemen is extremely popular. Other menu items are just as delicious, including the salty roast pork ramen that's served with slices of pork arranged like flower petals.
Even with its location being in the middle of the mountains in Kyoto, Ore no Ramen Appareya is said to be one of the representative ramen restaurants in the Kansai region.
