Aki took us to a part of Tokyo I would not have seen otherwise, down narrow streets packed with restaurants and bars, some of them under the train tracks. Delicious sake, sashimi, grilled meat, ramen and a friendly and personable host. Seeing a tiny bar with friendly customers was a highlight. Come very hungry!

Hiromi was an excellent guide once again. Love how she was attentive to things I liked by asking questions and even changing up the tour on the fly as I was the only one on the tour. I experienced hidden gems of a restaurants e.g. sky scaper restaurant serving Hokkaido with tremendous views of Tokyo, but equally felt like a local going restaurant that the locals would go.

Aki is funny, charismatic and incredibly knowledgeable of Ueno. We explored restaurants that I never would have stopped at if I were just walking around on my own. This felt like a true local experience.
