We recently did a sushi-making class here as a work team-building activity, and it was such a fantastic experience. The restaurant’s incredible history and traditional atmosphere made the whole event feel really special.
The staff were welcoming, patient, and made the class both fun and informative, even for complete beginners. We learned a lot about sushi preparation, ingredients, and technique while also enjoying plenty of laughs as a team.
The sushi itself was absolutely delicious and incredibly fresh. It was the perfect balance of hands-on activity, cultural experience, and amazing food. Highly recommend for corporate team events or anyone looking for a unique experience in a beautiful historic setting.

We had a great time with chef Ono. The whole family really enjoyed this sushi-making class. Onosan is a really good teacher and did his best to give explanations in English. We got to eat our own sushi at the end. Oishikatta!

I had such an amazing experience at this sushi-making class in Tokyo! I went with my boyfriend, and we honestly had the best time. The hosts were incredibly kind, welcoming, and funny: they made us feel comfortable from the very beginning.
The whole experience was not only fun but also really engaging. We learned a lot while laughing and enjoying every moment. It turned into such a special lunch, far beyond what we expected.
And of course, the sushi was absolutely delicious, everything we made was fresh, flavorful, and so satisfying. It was truly one of the highlights of our trip. I would highly recommend this class to anyone visiting Tokyo!

We had the best time with Akemi and Dan. Anyone wanting to learn how to make sushi, and the art behind it should sign up to this fabulous evening. Akemi is amazingly patient and is a master at clear explanations. Our daughter who is a vegetarian was catered for perfectly. As a family we had the best time. Thanks again Akemi and Dan for your hospitality.

We had a wonderful experience learning about sushi and learning how to make it with Akemi. It was educational, fun and delicious! We enjoyed the sushi we made for lunch, along with miso soup, sake and ice cream for dessert. We highly recommend Akemi for a sushi making experience !

Our private sushi-making class was truly one of the highlights of our very first trip to Japan! It was such a special experience that made my wife’s birthday and our honeymoon unforgettable. From the moment we arrived, we were welcomed with such warmth and genuine hospitality that made us feel completely at home.
The instructor’s skills were absolutely amazing — they explained every step with patience and joy, making it easy and fun for us to follow along. We not only learned how to make delicious sushi, but we also got to appreciate the artistry and tradition behind it. Every detail was thoughtfully prepared, and the English-speaking assistant made the whole experience seamless and engaging.
We left with full hearts (and full stomachs!), wonderful photos, and memories that we’ll cherish forever. Thank you so much for creating such a joyful and meaningful experience for us. Highly recommended to anyone visiting Japan — this class is pure happiness! ❤️🍣🇯🇵
