In this special baking class, you can learn to make Moroccan breads and pastries. You will make traditional sweets, shape bread to bake in the same communal ovens that Chefchaouen inhabitants use, and then take part in a Moroccan mint tea ritual while your bread is still warm.

What You’ll Experience

You might end up at one of the traditional communal ovens if you follow the rich aroma of freshly made bread through the winding lanes of Chefchaouen. Locals bring rounds of soft wheat dough ready for baking here. In this shared activity, immerse yourself in this age-old custom and discover the simplest method for making Moroccan bread dough. You will make traditional sweets, knead and shape bread for baking in communal ovens used by residents of Chefchaouen, and then take part in a Moroccan mint tea ceremony with your freshly baked bread.
