Experience Details

This is a self drive activity, meaning you would need to handle your own transportation to and from our location. Dinner reservations start at 8:00pm for this activity, and included in your booking is a 3-course meal at Latitude 65. Alcohol is not included, but is available for purchase, as are additional add ons and appetizers.

After dinner, you can relax in our lounge space and utilize our free wi-fi while you wait for the Aurora Borealis to make an appearance. At 10pm our staff hold a nightly presentation discussing the science and folklore behind the northern lights, which is a free presentation.

When the aurora makes an appearance, our staff will inform you where to look! We also offer additional photography sessions at $60 per person.

The yurt closes at 2:00am, which is when you would need to depart the property.

3 course meal with soup/salad, entree of steak or chicken, and dessert. Vegan/vegetarian requirements please let us know, depending on availability of ingredients there may be upcharge for rare diets.

Alcoholic beverages will be available for optional separate purchase at the restaurant during dinner. Will only be available for person 21 years or older

What You’ll Experience

Experience a night of wonder! This is a self drive activity, starting at 8:00pm. Arrive for your dinner reservation and enjoy a 3-course meal at Latitude 65, our fine dining restaurant. After dinner, relax in the lounge space, enjoy a 20 minute presentation on the aurora borealis, or go outside to take in the beauty of the Aurora Borealis. Children 17 and younger will need to be accompanied by an adult.

It can take up to one hour to drive to Basecamp! On Himalaya Road, you'll meet at the Front Desk Yurt 15 minutes before the start of your activity. Please note this tour requires self drive to our property. It is imperative that guests have vehicles with 4WD and winter tires.
