Naples is a city with an unmistakable pulse, where centuries of history, everyday street life and one of Italy’s richest culinary traditions all collide.
We’ll begin in the historic center with Neapolitan coffee, sfogliatella and babà before diving into traditional food shops for limoncello, seasonal street food and, naturally, pizza in more than one form. From there, we’ll move beyond the old city walls into lively market neighborhoods rarely explored by visitors.
Along the way, we’ll stop at a baccaleria devoted to salt cod, taste mineral-rich water from Vesuvius and visit a family-run bakery to prepare Neapolitan caponata with freselle, mozzarella and piennolo tomatoes. Throughout the day, we’ll meet the bakers, vendors, shopkeepers and artisans who keep Naples’ food traditions alive.
