Experience Details
This food tour is the perfect opportunity to learn about Nagoya in-depth. While trying different local foods and walking around Sakae you will gain an understanding of the local culture and history. It is a completely customizable tour we create together based on your preferences. Is there any food you cannot eat? Or something you really don't want to miss while in Japan? Do you want to start in the morning or rather do a tour in the afternoon or at night? It's all up to you! Our standard recommendation includes the following foods: -Miso Nikomi Udon (hot Miso stewed Udon noodles) -Miso Katsu (deep-fried pork cutlets in a Miso-based sauce) -Hitsumabushi (grilled eel in a delicious sauce topped on rice) -Tebasaki (Nagoya-style chicken wings) -Tenmusu (mini rice balls with a shrimp Tempura in the middle) -Ebi Senbei (shrimp rice crackers) -Uiro (Japanese sweet made from rice flour, water, sugar, and different flavors) -Oni Manju (devil's rice cakes with sweet potato chunks) -Ogura Toast (toast with sweet red bean paste) Note that we cannot try all of these during the tour but around 7-8 different foods and snacks. You can also request dishes not mentioned here and we will do our best to accommodate your wishes.
