Experience Details
Sure, bar-hopping in Tokyo is fun, but maybe you’re missing a good, home-cooked meal. This dining experience is perfect if you want a more mellow food experience in Tokyo.
Join Marimo, a Japanese home cooking specialist. She learned to cook from her mother and grandmother. Her father worked as a chef at a Japanese embassy abroad. It’s natural, then, that Marimo grew a love for home-cooked dishes.
This is not a cooking class. Come with an empty stomach and be welcomed in Marimo’s cozy Tokyo home, where you’ll enjoy a delicious, seasonal meal in a Japanese-style room with tatami flooring. This is a unique experience that takes you inside the home of a Tokyo resident, a rare chance, considering most Japan residents rarely welcome strangers and acquaintances into their homes.
It’s also a great chance to eat dishes not usually offered at restaurants. Marimo is open to requests and will curate a menu based on your preferences. This includes adjusting Japanese dishes to suit dietary restrictions. Vegetarian and vegan travelers are welcome!
