Sao Martinho de Antas e Paradela de Guiaes

Lunch at São Martinho da Anta in a charming family-owned vineyard home, where you’ll be welcomed with the warmth and authenticity that define Douro hospitality. This small parish extends into an area of 15.95 km2 and includes a minor population of 870 inhabitants (2001). It received its name, in the 20th century, but became more known, as the birthplace of the Portuguese poet and writer Miguel Torga, who lived in an isolated home in the parish. A Rustic paired lunch in a traditional Douro family home, featuring homemade food in a cozy rural setting paired with regional White and Red wine. Our day with Douro Wonderland was hands-down a highlight of our Portugal . The experience was thoughtfully curated from start to finish.The wine tastings were exceptional .Each stop offered something unique, showcasing both classic Douro Reds and Ports . What a wonderful day!

What a fantastic experience! Excellent day in the Douro Valley with an excellent and pleasant driver guide Rcardo. This is an outstanding tour of the Douro region with excellent transportation, , a fabulous and educational visit to a family estate and a delicious feast at a beautiful home with local dishes, wine and port. Ricardo provided local history and many stories during the trip to and from Porto with beautiful countryside landscapes and panoramic views in hidden places.
