This sake tasting and sake factory tour in Nagano covers all the bases. You’ll try a range of sake, amazake (a low/non-alcoholic drink made from fermented rice), enjoy small dishes like pickles and Nagano miso soup, explore the streets of Nagano and the Zenkoji Temple area, then make your way back to Nagano Station.


Nagano is celebrated for its exceptional sake production, boasting the second highest number of sake breweries in Japan. Your experience begins as you meet your guide at Nagano Station, the gateway to this picturesque region. You'll be whisked away to a carefully selected sake-tasting location.


Immerse yourself in the nuanced world of sake as you participate in a guided tasting. Savor the complexity of flavors, complemented by small, delectable dishes like local pickles and authentic Nagano miso soup. You’ll learn about 300 years of sake history from an expert and refine your palette with a tasting session including high quality, unfiltered, unpasteurized, and seasonal sake.


The adventure continues with a visit to an old sake factory, a testament to Nagano's longstanding brewing tradition. This historic establishment, standing for over 120 years, provides a glimpse into the time-honored techniques and craftsmanship behind Nagano's renowned sake. From here, explore the atmospheric streets of Nagano, absorbing the local vibes, and make your way to the Zenkoji Temple area.
