+2 photosI had a great time cooking dal bhat. I was solo traveling and no one else booked the time slot so I got a private lesson which was very informative and fun. It’s hosted inside a hotel owned by a family and they were very kind, I even got to cook with their grandma. The food was delicious as well and they grow many of the ingredients in their own garden. I would definitely recommend doing this!
I had a great time there. Could do all of the steps to prepare Momos, and got good introductions by Samundra. We got along very well and talked about the differences of Nepal and Germany. He explained me the nepali culture a bit more. So I learned not only how to make the Momos and tbh what better souvenir is there to get for myself!
We did the mo:mo cooking class we enjoyed the experience and teaching so much we decided to come the next day for dahl bhat class. Both extremely informative with a friendly atmosphere. I would definitely recommend doing both!
I'm absolutely thrilled about this great family who taught me how to make the world famous momos here. It was not only educational but simply delicious. In the end I was allowed to eat as many momos as I want and I got a recipe to photograph. I take the recipe to Germany.:)
It was a wonderful and authentic experience. We made a traditional Nepali meal. The ingredients were explained in detail and many came from the garden in the hotel. It was very hands-on and the recipe for all the elements of the meal was available afterwards.
