Experience Details
Take a tour inside of Tashiro-no-Mori, a forest garden in Hokkaido’s Tokachi region. Flowing through the forest are natural springs surrounded by over 500 different varieties of trees and wildflowers that bloom throughout spring and autumn. You will be guided through the forest, learning all about the various flowers and wildlife that live there. Your trusted guide knows the forest like the back of their hand since they built the forest garden themselves.
You will then take a rest at a thatched hut in the forest where you can experience “nodate”, an outdoor tea ceremony which is led by a Japanese instructor. The tea, called “jinencha”, is brewed using natural spring water from the forest. Sip away as you enjoy tea and sweets among serene nature.

Address: Monbetsu, Hiroo-cho, Hiroo-gun, Hokkaido Access: From the Obihiro-Hiroo Expressway, exit at Churui-Taiki IC then drive southward along National Route 236 for around 17 kilometers. At the main traffic light in the Toyoni district, turn left and drive for around 2 kilometers.
