This is an off the beaten path experience that will allow you discover the local culture, and most of all the Moroccan gastronomy. This tour enables you to walk in the vibrant old Medina, its main historical districts and its food market. Along the way, we will taste different typical Moroccan foods, and have a main stop for a traditional lunch. Please note: During Ramadan, the fasting month, instead of the food tour, you can join my family for iftar (breaking the fast) which enables you to taste different traditional foods as well as to learn about the culture and the holly month of Ramadan. This year Ramadan starts on March 2nd and ends on April 1st. The experience in Ramadan takes 1h to 1h30 starting from 6 pm, the time of sunset.

Amazing Food Focused Experience

I would very highly recommend this tour to anyone coming to Tangier! Rababe was so incredibly knowledgeable, helpful, and friendly. We reached out specifically about a food tour and she was happy to tailor the experience, while doing so we visited local markets, restaurants, and coffee shops. We discussed history of the country as well as current culture. We did the Ramadan...

We did the Ramadan version of this food tour, where Rababe welcomes you into her home and gives a full iftar meal. I would strongly recommend it. She was so kind, explained everything in great detail, and the food was excellent! This was towards the beginning of our time in Morocco and we found ourselves constantly referring back to what we learned and ate. A great experience!

Food Tour in Tangier

This was an amazing experience. Our tour guide was extremely knowledgeable not only in showing as great local food but also in giving us a wonderful history lesson of the area. It was perfectly paced with a wide variety of foods from coffee and mint tea to a local soup and local traditional meal. I highly recommend this experience to get a flair for the local culture and food.

Outstanding food and culture tour!

Wonderful experience! Rababe took us to several hidden gems of the Medina. The food was authentic and delicious, but even better was the opportunity to learn first-hand about life in Tangier, a little bit of history, and to feel a little less like a tourist and more like a local.
