Experience Details
Join us in our stunning guesthouse, newly opened in August 2018, located just a 5-minute walk from Hakozaki Station in Fukuoka. Our guesthouse features a traditional, tranquil Japanese garden, and has a relaxed atmosphere. Here, you’ll learn how to make temaki sushi with a professional who has worked in the Japanese restaurant industry for 4 years and has experience making sushi, tempura, and other Japanese dishes. Temaki sushi is a staple dish of Japanese home cooking, which is not typically served in restaurants. But here, you’ll have the chance to learn how to make sushi like the Japanese do at home!
First, we’ll start by prepping our ingredients for temaki sushi. We’ll prepare tamagoyaki (a Japanese omelet), cucumber, tuna, seaweed, and more). Then, we’ll learn a technique to make perfect sushi rice, using a special Japanese fan called an “uchiwa.” Follow instructions and learn how to wrap the most delicious temaki sushi, using ingredients that you can easily find, no matter where in the world you live, so you can recreate it at home!
Temaki sushi is an excellent party food, as everyone can choose their favorite ingredients and build their sushi hand roll to their liking. So come along and let’s make temaki sushi during this cooking class in Fukuoka!
