Experience Details
Hustling Tokyo is long-known as a multifaceted metropoly that can offer some crazy entertainment. This robot show much appreciated by visitors is one of such crazy options. Neon lights and staff in costumes, together with taiko drums and dancing robots. Entering the establishment feels like stepping into some fantasy anime with a ton of neon lights. The show features a gazillion characters and themed floats which will make it difficult for you to wrap your head around the whole experience. Epic fights on giant floats, be it a gigantic lobster, a snake or some armed truck, a wobbling panda, fans and drums beating at the rhythm of Japanese festival music, dancing robots, lasers, swords, samurai, and more! Step back and enjoy the show! Before or after such an exciting parade, you definitely need some fuel refill. Hit the nearby themed izakaya with wooden sliding doors, Japanese-style decor and huge thread ball-shaped seats in tribute to the imperial court of the Heian period, when temari, or thread balls were used as toys. The restaurant offers an ample selection of Japanese dishes, including fish eggs, unfailing sashimi, juicy and tender chicken, pickles, tofu and typical desserts made with some very traditional ingredients such as azuki bean paste or kuzu starch. Sample Menu*: -Sakura flavored Tofu -Potherb mustard pickles -Pond smelt with Japanese pepper -Matsumae pickled kelp with fish eggs -Chicken liver pate -Assorted seasonal fish sashimi -Caesar salad with bacon and romaine lettuce -Beef tongue grilled on a lava plate with salted onion -Cod and maitake mushroom in a thick vegetable sauce -Chicken broth based hot pot with flavored meatball -Rice porridge -Ball of bean paste covered by kuzu starch and pudding made from bracken -starch with vanilla ice-cream *the menu varies depending on the season. Somewhat less wild than the robot show, yet no less exciting, the comprehensive menu of this temari-themed izakaya won’t let you down.
