Experience Details
Cherry blossom viewing, or hanami, is one of Japan’s most famous spring events. Head to Midorigaoka park, one of the most popular flower-viewing spots in Obhiro city, and embrace this rare opportunity. The flowers bloom sometime between late April to mid-May and they don’t remain at peak bloom for long (maybe a week).
Cherry blossom viewing usually involves a picnic where people eat, drink, and socialize among the beautiful scenery. The downside is having to lug everything, find a spot, and clean up everything afterward, but on this tour, you only need to show up!
All the equipment and food are provided, including meat and local ingredients, but be sure to let your guides know of any allergies or dietary restrictions. After the barbecue, if you get tired of staring at the flowers, you can also try playing park golf (for a fee).
