On Teacher's Day weekend we went with my family to do the mate tasting. It was spectacular!!! The best part was the service and the explanation from Virginia (super sweet and kind) and from Isaac (super clear and attentive). Honestly, we felt very comfortable, we learned a lot about a wonderful ritual, and we ate delicious food!! And at a very friendly price, too. Highly recommended for learning, having a good time, and buying yerba. The place is also very warm
Honestly, a really nice find in Puerto Iguazú. We went in the afternoon after walking all day through the park and it was great for us to slow down. They have a huge variety of organic and artisanal yerba brands that you don't usually see at the supermarket, plus the store is super neat. They served us perfectly, explaining the flavor profile of each yerba and how to prepare it well. I ended up buying a couple of packages to give as gifts and take home. Our party of six English-speakers had a day off from the Falls and wished to experience some culture. We also were curious about the dedication behind all the mug and thermos toting folks we saw during our week plus adventure in beautiful Argentina so we found the Yerba Mate Club.
