I never knew Kichi Kichi Omurice had a class until I found out through byFood and when I tell you that I RAN to sign up, I’m not kidding. It was so worth it! Chef Motokichi is a great mentor and teacher and so inspirational. To not only be in the company of someone who is a master of his craft but to also be able to learn from him is a dream. I can’t wait to hopefully be able to go again and to report how I’ve been practicing what he taught me at home~

I had an amazing experience with Motokichi-san. At first I was very nervous since I don't have much cooking experience, but soon I noticed that worry was unnecessary. He taught us in a very entertaining and easy-to-learn way even by wasting literally a carton of eggs... At the end one of our friends were able to make the very definition of "Omu rice" that melts down with a slight knife cut! I would absolutely recommend this experience to those who visit Kyoto
Kichi Kichi’s Lesson was hands on and incredibly fun. We were able to make and enjoy our own omelet. I can’t wait to make it for my kids. The chef’s energy was out of this world.
I had such a wonderful time joining the Kichi Kichi Omurice Experience. It was really special to learn directly from such an iconic omurice chef in person and the experience was both fun and educational. When I made omurice afterwards, my omelette already turned out better than before! The T-shirt was also a lovely ...続きを読む
When talking about omurice, it's always easy to think of kichikichi, especially when researching Japanese foods that you have to try when traveling to Japan. Being able to practice and learn from the master of omurice is a tremendous and rewarding honor. We had a very detailed explanation of everything beforehand, but making our own omurice was a very fun and a unique experience. If you're thinking of doing it, I would definitely do it again because it was worth every memory.
