Danzero
Danzero’s contemporary, Victorian-inspired dining space brings a refined interpretation of French cuisine to Yokohama’s stunning bayside location.
Restaurant Details
Sun-drenched during the day and spectacularly glitzy at night, Danzero’s contemporary, Victorian-inspired dining concept brings both original and traditional French cuisine alongside distinct hospitality to Yokohama’s port precinct.
Housed inside Pacifico Yokohama, the venue is marked by a 5-meter door that reveals an elegant space illuminated by a towering crystal Baccarat chandelier. On one side, an aqua blue-lit bar counter catches the eye; on the other, tables are graced by Philippe Starck’s iconic Louis Ghost chairs. By day, the restaurant is bathed in natural light, with crisp white decor that blends with the airy surroundings.
The restaurant's name, "DANZERO," means a starting point, which perfectly aligns with its mission: to offer guests a delightful beginning — and end — to their day over classic and contemporary French fare at its finest.
To realize this venue, the head chef, who has worked in numerous hotel restaurants, taps into the technique-driven nature of French cuisine, relying on a relatively orthodox approach to coax out the fullest potential of ingredients and create a play of texture. Things might kick off with an amuse-bouche that uses seasonal ingredients the chef picks for the day before it slides into caviar-heavy hors d’ouvres, voluptuous pan-fried scallops or sauteed foie gras. The love for gastronomy is writ large with dishes like fish and scallop panache or beef fillet cooked in Madeira wine reduction, finished with truffle.
In a setting as grand as its cuisine, it’s no surprise that romance flourishes at Danzero. Yet the restaurant’s warm service and inviting atmosphere also make it a perfect destination for family gatherings, power lunches and dates.
