Located in Murakami of Niigata Prefecture, Kappo Shintaku was established in the year of Keio 3 (1867-1868). They were awarded one Michelin star by the MICHELIN GUIDE NIIGATA 2020.
Murakami is well-known as a town of salmon. Thanks to the rich nature, with oceans, rivers, and mountains, where a variety of fish can be caught in every season, you can enjoy a range of produce and other local ingredients at Kappo Shintaku.
In spring, you can enjoy fatty cherry trout; in summer, ayu fish from the Miomotegawa River and rock oysters from the Japan Sea. In autumn, there are delicacies from the mountains and the sea, as well as the unique salmon cuisine of Murakami. In winter, the Japan Sea's nodo tuna and snow crab are popular.
