This Japanese restaurant definitely represents Iwate at its best. Every single aspect of the restaurant is the very definition of local — the modestly decorated space resembles the simplicity of the people, and the ingredients are exclusively picked out from local farms and bought from local suppliers, including seafood from the Sanriku area.
Each day is a surprise. The menu can be completely different from the day before and it all depends on what the chef can get from the markets that morning. Sashimi is definitely the restaurant's strong suit, but the rice bowls and other menu items are just as delicious.
