Everyone was lovely and welcoming! English is limited, but all the information, including beer aroma profiles, is available in English, and staff happily use translators to help. The tour was fantastic, and we learned so much about the brewing process. Definitely recommend the tasting set to try all three beers. If you visit at lunchtime, don’t miss the delicious Wagyu that literally melts in your mouth!

Amazing experience! The owner gave us a tour, explaining how they source their ingredients and the story behind the brand. The name means “under the snow,” inspired by how beer was traditionally stored. They specialise in three delicious beers, and we were surprised to learn each takes 1–2 months to make! The food was incredible and melted in our mouths, perfectly matching the brand’s melting snow concept. They also work with over 50 restaurants. Definitely worth visiting!

It was a wonderful experience that I highly recommend. I got a great insight into Japanese cuisine and daily life. Saykaks was very hospitable and warm. The food was delicious and made for a great ending. I would book the cooking class again.

This class was incredible! Takako-San is so knowledgeable and explains all of the ingredients and recipes so well. Such a wonderful experience in her home, I would highly recommend for anyone who loves Japanese food. Book this for your next Tokyo trip!

We had a great time at the mochi making class. Not only did we learn how to make mochi, Sakura also taught us the history of mochi. We highly recommend this class.

We had a very educational and fun time learning to make tofu with Marie. She is a patient teacher and it’s very clear she has a lot of experience! Would highly recommend.

We can absolutely recommend this experience, not only because of the Wagyu Beef tasting, but especially the tour aftward, since Hiroshi is very knowlegable about Kyoto and Japan in general. Thank you for the great experience Hiroshi!

Enjoyed a fun experience with Ryo trying some food combinations from different convenience stores. Ryo provided lots of information about the different stores and how people use them. It definitely gives you the confidence to use konbinis and know where to buy different items. Highly recommended!
