About Your Experience Step into a cozy, creative space where art and flavor meet. In this unique workshop, you’ll be guided through a watercolor painting session while enjoying a tasting of 5 local, organic and handmade chocolates. No painting experience? Perfect! This is all about relaxing, playing with color, and letting the brush flow while you sip and savor. I’ll share simple watercolor techniques—like blending, layering, and texture—so you can bring your own style to life on the page. What We’ll Do Begin with a short tasting to awaken your senses. Learn the basics of color theory in a relaxed, step-by-step way. Paint your own unique artwork to take home. Share conversation, laughter, and creativity in community. What’s Included All painting materials (paper, brushes, paints). A tasting flight of artisanal chocolates and cacao. Guidance and encouragement throughout the session. Worth it!!!! Life is what you put into it.

We were greeted with watercolors, paper, chocolate and an amazing woman who is more knowledgeable about farming and making chocolate than you could imagine. So sweet and we learned so much. She is passionate about Costa Rica, the history and using art as a venue to explore the craft of making chocolate. Must do experience. I left feeling like a traveler not a tourist.

This tour has potential of being really great

I made the reservations for Friday at 4pm....we arrived early.....we were the only people on this excursion.....while I liked the store owner, it was a bit unorganized.....she explained everything, (how to eat the chocolate and get inspired), she didnt explain how the chocolate comes from the cacao fruit and how its processed.....we did learn she had a cacao farm up the road....the painting part was kinda janky......she had nice paints, she gave us 5 pieces of waterpainting paper each (think pos...read more

Thank you for your interesting review and opinions. I have a chocolate making class that is 3 hours long, we cover everything from the tree to the bar and people leave with chocolate they make: that class is available to book on this platform. This booking was made for a chocolate tasting with watercolor experience, where guests have the opportunity to paint what they taste. It’s a fun and different way to experience chocolate tasting while exploring taste in color. Guests receive fresh cacao fruit, cacao beans, roasted nibs and a selection from five local handmade organic chocolates. I will look at my listing to make sure that there is no confusion about this being a painting class. If the guest had said anything during the experience about it not meeting her expectations I would have been happy to talk to her more about the chocolate process or invited her to come back to a chocolate making class. But nothing was mentioned during my introduction or the check ins. I’m sorry that she didn’t enjoy the experience, and if something similar ever happens again, I’d encourage her to talk directly to the person at the time.
