The oil-tasting experience in Sant'Ambrogio is an interesting itinerary for lovers of the intense scent and strong flavor of extra virgin olive oil. Ideal for those who want to immerse themselves in the Sicilian olive heritage. The visit to the historic oil mill, now a museum complex, is an opportunity to learn about the sensory characteristics of the oil and the local farming tradition. The route is an experience that involves all the senses and opens the door to Mediterranean flavors. After the passage to the mill, a pleasant walk follows through the narrow streets of the small village, until you reach the centuries-old olive trees overlooking the Tyrrhenian Sea. You will admire bright, crystal clear and lush colors. The final phase of the experience reserves guests a pleasant moment of conviviality, characterized by a Cabin aperitif based on products from the Madonie territory and a glass of wine from Sicilian wineries.

From via Cefalù, you will continue through the streets of the village, capturing the pleasant atmosphere, the scents between the alleys, the panoramic views, the bright colors of the ble of the sea and the green of the vegetation, without ever losing sight of the Rocca di Cefalù. During the walk we will stop to observe olive trees and other plants of the Mediterranean scrub.

Olive Oil Tasting Experience in Sant'Ambrogio

We thoroughly enjoyed this authentic tour in Sant'Ambrogio. Giovanna gave us a fascinating tour of her family’s historic olive oil mill and led an engaging tasting, teaching us how to identify different aromas and flavors. We also explored the charming village, enjoyed stunning coastal views, and ended with a lovely aperitivo at a scenic café. Giovanna’s local recommendations were excellent. A memorable experience— highly recommended when visiting the Cefalù area.

A fantastic experience!

A fantastic experience!!! Sant'Ambrogio is a fairytale village, quiet and overlooking the sea, Giovanna is incredible and explained with passion and patience (in two languages!) the history of the mill and his family. We learned to taste the different varieties of oil, strolled through the olive trees and concluded with a genuine aperitif overlooking the sunset. I recommend it to everyone, I can not wait to return!!

Giovanna is a beautiful woman in love. She is in love with her land and her roots. From this love the "Oil Tour" was born.
