Nada Gogo, or “the five villages of Nada,” is a group of towns and villages in Kobe with a remarkable sake production — believed to have started around 1330 — which now amounts to over 25% of Japan’s total.

You’ll explore the quaint town, dotted with old townhouses and sake breweries that have been operating for centuries, where the rich smell of cedar wooden barrels used to age sake fills the air. You’ll learn about the history and craft of sake brewing in breweries and sake museums, before enjoying a curated pairing of five premium types of sake with appetizers to discover the full scope of combinations this versatile beverage can create.
