Experience an hour levada walk and local flavors on a Cider tasting in Camacha town! The trip combines a fantastic walk in the forest, cider tasting and lunch in one of the few orchards in Camacha. You start the tour with a fantastic one hour walk along the enchanting "levadas", irrigation channels built hundreds of years ago. The walk alone is an experience in itself and you can enjoy a pleasant walk in the forest and across the village where apples are grown. Camacha Sideri produces some of the finest cider available in Madeira. You will learn more about how traditional cider is made and you will get 3 tastings, followed by the most delicious lunch served in the restaurant of the estate. Apparently Madeira has been producing Cider for more than 500 years. The juice and cider producer has won a number of awards, both nationally and internationally, because so far no one has ever produced cider this quality in Madeira before.

Traditional lunch: traditional pork dish, chorizo with beans, tuna ''escabeche'' marinated in olive oil with onions, local bread, cheese and charcuterie board.

Nice levada walk with cider tasting and lunch

Nice, leisurely levada walk with Ana, very informative, perfect small group! Great cider tasting followed by a sumptuous lunch of local Madeira cuisine. Very enjoyable experience!

Very pretty gentle walk...

Very pretty gentle walk along the levada. Ana our guide was very knowledgeable about the area and plants we passed by. Cider tasting was excellent, as was the lunch.

Cider your ticks all the boxes Amazing fantastic wow !!!

Wow amazing had a brilliant experience on this new tour Ana our guide has a wealth of knowledge on everything Madeiran ! The Levada walk was fantastic and we were able to see lots of plants fauna birds etc After the walk we went down the hill for cider tasting and then lunch. The owner of the business talked us through various different ciders and we sampled probably 6 types My favourite was the champagne type but they were all good Only the best apples are used in the production here!
