Experience Details
During this Osaka cooking class, You'll learn how to make the most delicious dashi soup and udon noodles from scratch, and enjoy the udon served in two styles: hot and chilled. The most delicious type of udon in Japan is called “Sanuki udon,” and these noodles are widely known for their elasticity in Japan. With the guidance of your cooking instructor, in this class, you will use both your hands and feet to knead the dough and make the udon strong and chewy. In addition, this cooking class will also teach you how to make Osaka-style soup. The “umami” factor comes from Osaka's deep “dashi” (Japanese soup stock) culture. The savory Osaka-style broth is incredibly flavorful and delicious, and pairs perfectly with the thick and elastic udon noodles. Besides learning to make soup and udon from scratch, you’ll also learn how to make one more side dish using the leftover part that remains after filtering the dashi. You will be amazed at how delicious this side dish is, and it is zero waste! The cooking instructor has a policy of using the highest-quality ingredients and seasonings, so you are sure to create the most delicious dishes while learning about Osaka food culture.
