Come hungry and leave knowing exactly how to make cavatelli from scratch at a laid-back Charlotte brewery. You’ll mix semolina flour, water, olive oil and salt, work the dough by hand and learn how to roll and shape those distinctive little pasta shells. Then comes the best part: fresh pesto made with basil, pine nuts, garlic and olive oil, finished with salt, pepper and Parmesan for a bright, savory sauce. You’ll combine the pesto with your handmade cavatelli and enjoy the finished dish in a casual, social setting. The class is beginner-friendly, so you can focus on learning, laughing and getting your pasta shapes just right. Plus, with Chef Autumn’s background working at Disney World, training under a Michelin-star chef and becoming an executive chef at 23, you’ll pick up plenty of kitchen know-how along the way.

A Charlotte brewery, a ball of fresh pasta dough and pesto so fragrant you’ll want to eat it straight from the bowl. You’ll start by mixing semolina flour, water, olive oil and salt, then knead the dough until it’s smooth and ready to shape. Next, you’ll roll and form cavatelli by hand, learning simple pasta-making techniques you can recreate at home. You’ll also make fresh pesto with basil, pine nuts, garlic and olive oil, seasoning it with salt, pepper and Parmesan. Toss everything together and dig into your handmade pasta while enjoying the relaxed brewery atmosphere. No pasta-making experience needed, just willing hands and an appetite. Store-bought pasta may feel a little different afterward.
