Experience Details

Set in the rolling hills of Biei, this private villa stay invites you to slow down and step into the quiet rhythm of rural Hokkaido.

Surrounded by the region’s iconic patchwork fields, the landscape shifts with the seasons. Soft greens in summer, warm tones in autumn, and a clean white silence in winter shape the view around you. The atmosphere feels calm and grounded, with open space and still air replacing the city's pace.

Your host, born and raised in Hokkaido, comes from a family of potato farmers who still hand-harvest each crop. After time in Tokyo, he returned home to support the family farm. He created this villa as a place to share a closer connection to the land.

The space is designed to blur the line between indoors and outdoors, keeping nature present throughout your stay.

After check-in, you head into the surrounding fields. Depending on the season, you may harvest asparagus, sweet corn, potatoes, pumpkins, or other local produce.

Your host guides you through the fields and shares how soil, climate, and farming methods shape the flavor and quality of each crop.

You can also try splitting wood to prepare firewood for the evening bonfire, a simple hands-on moment that connects the harvest to the night ahead.

As evening sets in, the sheltered terrace becomes a private BBQ space. You grill the vegetables you picked earlier and enjoy their natural sweetness, fresh from the field.

An optional upgrade of Biei Wagyu adds rich marbling and depth of flavor.

Dinner is relaxed and unhurried, with smoke drifting from the grill as the fields grow quiet and the day settles into night.

After the meal, you gather around the bonfire you helped prepare. The fire brings warmth against the cool air, and above you, the sky opens into a wide field of stars, especially clear in Biei’s rural setting.
