Experience Details

Step into a quiet corner of Meguro where matcha is not just served, but created from the very beginning.

Inside a calm, wood-accented space, the city noise fades as soft lighting and the subtle scent of tea set the tone for a slower rhythm.

Your host welcomes you into a private counter seat and gently walks you through the experience. Instead of starting with whisking, you begin at the source.

Fresh tea leaves are placed into a traditional stone mill (ishiusu), and you slowly turn the handle as the leaves are ground into fine green powder. The steady motion and quiet sound of stone against stone create a focused, almost meditative moment.

Once the matcha is freshly ground, you sift it to make the texture finer. Your host guides you through each step, sharing simple tea etiquette and the purpose of each tool.

Tea bowls are then introduced, each with its own shape and feel, giving you a closer look at the craft behind Japanese tea culture.

Next, you prepare your own bowl of matcha using the tea leaves you just sifted, whisking it until a soft foam forms on top.

The first sip is smooth and balanced, made from start to finish by your own hands. Each step is simple, but you can notice the aroma, texture, and warmth as you go.

The experience continues with an omakase course made with seasonal Japanese ingredients, including Wagyu beef.

The matcha you prepared is also used within the meal, creating a natural connection between tea and dishes. Each plate is served with care, keeping flavors clean and focused.

This is a quiet, hands-on encounter with Japanese tea culture. It is not rushed, allowing space to observe, learn, and take part in a tradition that values attention and presence in every detail.
