Experience Details
While it is true that anyone can make sushi, mastering the art of making it is a skill so rare that it takes sushi chefs years or even decades to achieve. The difference is in the slicing of the fish, the molding of the rice, and the balancing of flavors: sushi done right is what caused the world to fall in love with this Japanese food, and it's precisely the kind of sushi you get to taste in this experience!
During this class, you'll get acquainted with the history and traditions of sushi and make your own with the help of instructors. You’ll have plenty of time (~50 min) to create sushi pieces in the kitchen (the exact ingredients of which vary depending on the season, but might include shrimp, tuna, egg, and whitefish). After the hard work is done, you’ll go to the restaurant area to compare your sushi with the one made by a sushi chef, and learn the etiquette involved in eating sushi like a connoisseur.
Only up to four people can participate in this class at a time so that everybody gets personalized guidance from the chef.
