Ever wanted to learn how to make sushi like a master? If you are visiting Tokyo, this is the perfect time to make your own sushi under the guidance of a real Michelin-starred chef! This sushi making class in Tokyo is held at a cooking studio in the center of Tsukiji Outer Market and is taught by a sushi chef, Ryoji Suzuki, who runs a restaurant with a one Michelin star rating! Owner of Japanese restaurant Suzuki, your sushi chef has had regular appearances in the media and on TV throughout his career.


Tsukiji Market remains a popular spot for professional chefs to buy their quality seafood, produce, and ingredients, despite the inner market moving to Toyosu at the end of 2019. The Tsukiji area is perfect to learn how to make sushi from a qualified sushi chef, who has been fully trained since he was 29. His restaurant in Tokyo has boasted a Michelin star for over 12 consecutive years. Every day, your sushi chef makes a trip around Tsukiji Market to find the finest produce.


You will learn how to make 4 different dishes with demonstrations and your own cooking practice. You can truly enjoy eating the high-quality sushi that you have made with instructions from your sushi chef. Meeting Point and Meeting Time

  • Directions from Tsukiji Shijyo Station (Toei Oedo Line): Take Exit A1 then turn right. Go straight along Shin-Ohashi Street until you get to the first crossing. Turn right and go down Namiyoke Street until you see Namiyoke Shrine then turn left and see a black building next to a convenience store.

The early-morning bustle and the spectacle of seeing whole fish expertly carved right before your eyes, combined with an array of local delicacies, make Tsukiji Market a must-visit in Tokyo. While the Tsukiji Fish Market’s auction was relocated to Toyosu in October 2018, many of Tsukiji Outer Market’s street vendors and restaurants remained. Some shops and restaurants have been in business for over 100 years! And since the seafood sold at Tsukiji Market is delivered directly from Toyosu Fish Market, Tsukiji Market is still one of the best places in Tokyo for fresh seafood.
