Experience Details

This tour was designed to tour a part of the wine region of Lisbon, starting our day at the Museum of Vineyard and Wine in the Capital of Arinto, Bucelas, called the DOC region since 1908. Then we will go to a local cellar and taste this wonderful nectar, a short stop for lunch in the wonderful fishing village of Ericeira and famous for its beaches including the beach of Ribeira d ́isles where a stage of the world surfing championship takes place.

We head towards the UNESCO World Heritage Site of Mafra Convent, in 2019 where we will visit this beautiful monument dated from 1730,


During the day, we will have several gastronomic surprises typical of the region and Portugal

Installed in a historic building, related to the wine tradition of this unique region, the Museum is a reference space for the study, discussion and problematization of the issues associated with wine farming, the landscape and intangible practices arising from the culture of wine and the vineyard in the Bucelas region, demarcated since 1911.

Palacio Nacional de Mafra

It is classified as a National Monument, since 1907, and inscribed on the World Heritage List of Humanity by UNESCO, in 2019, being part of the designated cultural site of Real Edificio de Mafra, composed of the palace, which integrates the basilica (with a set of 6 organs and 2 carriages) and the library, a convent and teaching establishments, the Garden do Cerco and the Tapada.

Ericeira

Ericeira is a picturesque coastal village located in the county of Mafra, Portugal. Known for its beautiful beaches and stunning landscapes, it is a popular destination among surfers due to its world-class waves. Ericeira is also famous for its gastronomy, especially for its fresh fish and seafood dishes. Aldeia Museu Jose Franco

The Aldeia Museu José Franco, located in Sobreira, in the municipality of Mafra, is a unique space that recreates a traditional Portuguese village. Created by the artist José Franco, the village exhibits a series of houses, workshops and costumes that portray rural life, highlighting the traditions and customs of the early 20th century. The museum includes elements such as a chapel, a mill, a school, a tavern and other typical buildings, being a true walk in time. It is a place of cultural and artistic preservation, offering visitors an immersion in the history and work of José Franco.
